Tide Rip Grizzly Tours Ltd. is a small independent company located in Telegraph Cove on Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. For over 15 years, Tide Rip has been leading daily boat-based expeditions to view and photograph the wild grizzly bears and other spectacular wildlife native to coastal British Columbia. We subscribe to the philosophy: ‘conservation through coexistence’ and endeavour to promote that through outreach education programs and presentations, fundraising projects, and sponsoring conservation NGOs, in addition to our daily grizzly bear tours.

We offer eco-tours of the Salish Sea area near Sidney, BC and the Saanich Inlet from Brentwood Bay, BC. Our 12 passenger vessels offer an intimate experience. We also offer water taxi service, camping/kayak/SUP delivery to marine parks in our area. In the heart of the planets only inland temperate rainforest, board one of our specially designed boats for this smooth but exciting River Safari. Explore up to 12 kilometers of the spectacular Grizzly Bear Valley where the bears decide when and for how long we stop along the way! As you are travelling through glacier-fed rivers and lakes and going where it seems no boat has gone before, we hope to see wildlife among the river banks. In addition to an information-packed narrative, guides will point out glaciers and many waterfalls toppling from the surrounding snow-capped mountains. The River Safari is an absolute must-do activity. Your point of departure is conveniently located just north of Blue River off of Yellowed Highway #5, halfway between Jasper and Kamloops, as well as halfway between Mt. Robson and Wells Grey Park. Facilities: 7 small rustic campsites, hand water pump, pit toilets. Location: 6 km north of Oliver on Highway 97. Inkaneep Provincial Park is nestled in tall riverside cottonwoods in a residential area. This park offers wonderful bird watching opportunities. Park users should use caution when hiking around this park; poison ivy is abundant in this area. The park is conveniently located just outside of the town of Oliver. Open from the last weekend in June through Labour Day.
